SMITH, Martin and WALTERS, Polly (2025) Sustainable Management of Urban Aquifers. [Data Collection]
Project Description
Road drainage has the potential to carry a range of environmental contaminants, and in Brighton often is managed by allowing to soak away to the Chalk aquifer. A sustainable drainage system (SuDS) is planned to manage road drainage water in the urban catchment around Wild Park, Brighton. These data are from a baseline study undertaken to characterise water and sediment from the catchment prior to the implementation of the SuDs in 2025, and from experiments to investigate the water quality impact of removing solid sediment by centrifugation. The data include metals, anions, and Poly-Aromatic Hydrocarbons.
