South East Water - Microbial Source Tracking Project Cuckmere

Purnell, Sarah and Lohrey, Simon (2021) South East Water - Microbial Source Tracking Project Cuckmere. [Data Collection]

Project Description

Arlington reservoir in the River Cuckmere catchment, in Sussex, is at risk from increased levels of cyanobacteria posing a potential risk to users. The problem sources of faecal contamination are currently ambiguous and it is necessary to distinguish between human and non-human sources. This study therefore aimed to = elucidate the contribution of human and non-human faecal pollution to eutrophication processes in Ardingly Reservoir using MST tools.
